Our Programs

Learning & Development

Roshni Home Trust is introducing one of its kind lifelong learning programs lead by education and learning experts to ensure personal development to people of all ages. It covers a vast area of learning initiatives that will provide access to learning programs both at the community center and online courses, academic assistance programs, community social projects, edutainment avenues, interactive sessions, coaching and mentoring opportunities.

This Learning and Development center aims to enhance the performance of individuals through experiential learning and interactive sessions. It will also be a platform to train the trainers to attain professional skills in teaching and to implement them in life.

Objective

To provide for both formal and informal learning opportunities throughout the young life of children at Roshni Homes – The Torchbearers of the future – in order to foster continuous development of knowledge and skills needed for their personal fulfillment and integration into the world.

The students will be able to get guidance and support from professionals, so they can easily choose their career path. Activities will be designed to invoke a sense of curiosity and a love for learning in the students, so they can become keen to explore the world around them. Also, it will offer them unlimited choices in their lives through their acquired skills.

Horticulture & Food Growing

Horticulture enables an individual to understand natures nourishing power. This program will involve experts to teach, practice and engage the art of horticulture which constitutes the cultivation of edible fruits, vegetables, flower and herb gardens.

Objective

The community will be able to produce its own edible food. It would create awareness of the value of food and the benefits of organic farming. Also, it would serve as a foothold to those who seek a relationship between food and nature and then engage it to learn sustainable environment-friendly initiatives.

This program will impart food growing as a life skill. It will train the participants to learn about food in all its dimensions so that they will be able to produce their own food from seed to table and how to grow other produce at a small and large scale.

Well-Being: Yoga & Mindfulness

For centuries, people have been doing practices in spiritual and mental development such as yoga and practicing mindfulness to reach their full potential. These simple acts can reap out the benefits of mental clarity, self-awareness, focus, and fulfillment in one’s life. Roshni Homes has collaborated with experts to teach these skills under their Community Well-Being initiatives.

Objective

At Roshni Homes, we believe that all individuals have ample potential, which we aim to bring forth through meaningful practices of soul and spiritual development.
The practice of yoga and mindfulness will be beneficial for an individual in a way that imparts mental wellbeing and calmness, makes mentally present and mindful and improves health benefits and reduces stress.

Arts, Crafts and Media

All human beings have been using art as a language to translate their emotions and thoughts into creative actions. At Roshni Homes, we believe that exploring the artistic sides of the students will allow them to express fully and expand their creative horizons.

Objective

Roshni Homes will create opportunities for the students to share their creative expression through the mediums of drawing, painting, film, photography, music, and crafting. Also, to develop a culture of talent identification and its transformation to entrepreneurship.

Science and Technology

Our Library program is a key feature of the community center and imparts the importance of reading and writing among young students so it provides student’s space to learn, research and grow intellect, curiosity, wisdom and to engage with other fellows to become a unified community. The space of the library intends to become a central space where new ideas flourish and take shape.

Objective

The library program aims to inspire children to read, write and learn. It intends to provoke the interest of the students to gain knowledge through the medium of books and implement them in their lives.

Emergency Care

Emergency care is a basic life skill set for which everyone should be trained to cope up with unforeseen and tough medical situations. Roshni Homes will be starting its paramedic and first aid course for everyone in the community.

Objective

The main purpose is to make students capable to handle medical emergencies and to sustain the condition of the patient before reaching the hospital. Often in such scenarios, people tend to be unaware of how to provide the patient with initial care, therefore, the participants will be trained to efficiently analyze the scenario and act in the best way possible.

Some of these training will be provided to the entire community as it is a core skill that all individuals must learn. They will be able to handle stressful and intricate situations wisely. Those interested in this area of work will be able to explore this field and can decide if they want to further pursue the field of emergency medicine and care as a career choice.

Sports and Tourism

Roshni Homes already has a well-developed sports program that has significant participation from the students. It has an environment for them to incorporate physical fitness into their daily routines.

Sports is compulsory for the wellbeing of the children because it is directly related to both physical and mental health. The main aim of this area to enhance the physical development and fitness of the students.

Roshni Homes is proud of its sports programs and the benefits it has given to the children and youth. Our children have won national level tournaments in Badminton and other games. This kind of activity lead to the character-building of the students and they will feel confident in their actions. Also, sports dwell the attributes of sportsmanship, collaboration, tolerance, teamwork and strategy, which are the requisites to live a well-balanced life.
